Product Care
Use this guide for everyday care, then check the care label, manufacturer instructions and the Care section on your individual product page for any specific requirements.
Clothes
Check the garment label before washing. Wash similar colours together, turn printed items inside out and use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach unless the label specifically permits it. Reshape gently and air-dry where possible; only tumble-dry or iron if the care label allows it. Keep irons away from prints and transfers.
Unusual fabrics, blends, wool, technical coatings and specialist finishes may need different treatment. Follow the instructions on the specific product page and garment label rather than assuming all clothing can be washed in the same way.
Neoprene & Wetsuits
Rinse thoroughly in cool fresh water after use, including zips and seams. Allow the inside to dry first, then turn the suit to dry the outside in a shaded, well-ventilated place. Support a wet suit folded over a broad rail or a suitable wetsuit hanger; avoid stretching the shoulders.
Keep away from direct heat and prolonged sunlight. Do not machine-wash, tumble-dry, iron, bleach or dry-clean. If a cleaner is needed, use a product approved for wetsuits and follow its instructions. Avoid pulling on seams or digging fingernails into the material when changing. Check the individual product guidance for natural-rubber and other neoprene alternatives.
Surfboards
Rinse with fresh water after use and dry before storing. Keep the board out of direct sunlight, hot cars and other sources of heat. Use a suitable board bag for transport and protect the rails, nose and tail from knocks.
Check for cracks, dings and water entry before each session. If the skin is damaged, stop using the board and allow it to dry before arranging a repair suitable for its construction. Use a repair system compatible with the board: epoxy/EPS, polyester and softboards can require different products. Avoid overtightening fin screws and follow the manufacturer's guidance for fins, vents and fittings.
Accessories
Rinse salt and sand from water-use accessories with fresh water where the manufacturer permits, then dry fully before storage. Keep equipment away from unnecessary heat and sunlight. Check leashes, cords, buckles, fins and fittings regularly for wear or damage and replace worn parts.
Bags, eyewear, earplugs, electronics and coated or waterproof items need their own care methods. Follow the individual product instructions for cleaning, drying and closures. Keep waterproof seals clean and check the closure before use. Do not assume every accessory is washable or suitable for immersion.
